Philip and Alana met on August 1st, 2020.

Lan was hosting a pool party for anyone who wanted to join - as she did most summer weekends when in Westwood, the town she grew up in. Friends brought friends of friends and everyone was having a great time.

Lan greeted Phil and his friend Brett at the door when they arrived. She ushered them to her pool house where everyone was making drinks, snacking on finger foods and migrating in and out of the pool.

It wasn’t long before Brett was in charge of the music and Phil was shaking cocktails for everyone. There was an immediate connection between Phil and Lan, as they started chatting and getting to know eachother.

By the end of the night, Phil was telling (not asking) Lan that he was 100% going to take her out on a proper date very soon. He sold her on it pretty quickly, and she happily agreed. They went out exactly 5 days later for dinner at Committee in Seaport. Phil ordered everything on the menu for her so that she could try it all, since she had never been to that restaurant before. This was a tell-sign for how their relationship would go, as he is still always surprising her and going above and beyond for her today.

The pool party was fun, their first date was a blast! From then on they spent the rest of the summer getting to know eachother - always having the best time.

From the moment they met, they noticed that they truly are each other’s best friends at the end of the day, always coming back to each other. They were genuinely in the other’s corner, shared the same likes/values and always just had the most FUN with whatever they did.

Since then, they have created an amazing life in Boston together. Traveling to Naples FL in the winter and skiing in Vermont, summers on Martha’s Vineyard, and trips to Megeve France and Switzerland to visit Phil’s family. All the while, finding the most peace in the simple quiet moments, just being together.

They have now added Lake Como Italy to their list of favorite places to travel — and they could not be more excited to share their newest and most meaningful destination with all of you!
